WA Youth Orchestras is excited to announce the dates for the WA Youth Orchestra 2012 Season.

This is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to see cinema's multi-award winning Italian Maestro of film music. The composer for films such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission and Cinema Paradiso leads an orchestra of 100 present and past WAYO members and a 100-voice choir through his most epic works, which have transcended the films for which they were composed to become touchstones of popular culture.

Join us on the picturesque banks of the Swan river for ‘Magical Movie Moments' - an orchestral selection of best-loved movie themes that will thrill both movie buffs and the whole family. James Bond, ET, Forrest Gump, Indiana Jones and even some Pirates of the Caribbean will all be present. The orchestra will also be joined by special guest vocalists from WAAPA singing some of the most famous songs from the world of cinema.

WAYO is proud to announce the return of Russian conductor Vladimir Verbitsky in 2012 as part of our International Conductor Program, leading the 100-piece orchestra through a program that will feature works specially selected by the maestro himself.
