South West Youth Strings Workshops

WA Youth Orchestras is excited to host a morning of workshops for young string players in the South West, followed by an afternoon concert.

The workshops will take place on:

Sunday 23 September 2012

10am - 4pm (concert at 2:30pm)

Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre

 
Young musicians will be given the opportunity to meet and play with string students from around the South West region to experience music making in a string orchestral setting. Students will be coached by professional string tutors. It promises to be a fun and exciting day filled with lots of great strings playing and learning!

Students will join in with our current South West Youth Strings ensembles:
›› SWYS Camerata (grade 3 minimum)
›› SWYS Junior Maestros (grade 1-2)

The Workshops and concert will be conducted by Jess Johnson and Rachel Brogan, and tutored by Sally Boud, John Pokorny, Rex Carr-White and Kate Telchadder.
