Since its inception in 2004, the Western Australian Symphonic Youth Band (WAYSB) provides an outstanding opportunity for advanced young woodwind, brass and percussion musicians.
In 2010 the Symphonic Band was conducted by leading band specialists Alan Lourens and Paul De Cinque, performed at Winthrop Hall and the Perth Concert Hall nad competed in the WA Bands Festical in 2009 and 2010, winning its division.
This ensemble provides a fantastic opportunity for students to continue to develop their musical skills and rehearse and perform classic and contemporary symphonic band repertoire under the guidance of experienced music directors.
